Many say the Giro d'Italia is the cooler, tougher brother of the Tour de France. The 102nd edition of the Giro d¹Italia will start from Bologna on 11 May 2019 and finish in Verona on 2 June. With 3,518.5 km of racing packing in 46,500 meters of total elevation, this edition is one of the hardest courses in recent years. In this years Giro, homage will be paid to Fausto Coppi in the centenary of his birth, and with the Cuneo to Pinerolo stage, which Coppi won in the 1949 Giro, riding 192km alone through the Alps to set up overall victory.
